Stamford Mobile Pantry Growing Fast
The Connecticut Food Bank Mobile Pantry has gotten off to a rousing start in Stamford! The Connecticut Food Bank and Person to Person have collaborated to bring the Mobile Pantry to Stamford. The Mobile Pantry distributions began in September 2015 and initially drew approximately 100 recipients. The site has quickly grown and now sees as many as 300 families who visit to receive a variety of fresh produce, dairy items and bread. The Stamford mobile pantry site is helping to address food deserts and transportation barriers that make it difficult for people with limited resources to access the adequate nutrition they need for their families. We value our partnership with Person to Person and the ability to be of service to Stamford residents. The Stamford mobile pantry is held the 4th Monday of each month at DOMUS on 83 Lockwood Avenue.
