UConn Internship and Professional Practice Program (IPP)
An opportunity for skilled interns to join your organization
The UConn School of Public Policy is formally recruiting prospective host sites for the Internship and Professional Practice (IPP) program for the 2023-2024 cycle. Intern host sites pay $17,250 for an intern who will serve for 585 hours between August 2023 and May 2024.
The IPP program includes highly-skilled Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Master of Public Policy (MPP) second-year graduate students on track for careers in the public and nonprofit sectors. They complete academic year-long internships where they bring their talents to the work of local public sector organizations. Additional details are in a new program flyer.
IPP interns serve partner organizations for 585 hours, averaging 15 hours per week. UConn oversees all payroll and administrative records for students in this paid internship program, with IPP host sites paying $17,250 via invoice for the 2023-2024 cycle. This is a very affordable way to bring talent to your organization to support projects and staffing initiatives and provides an opportunity to mentor the next generation of public servants.
