Connecticut Foodshare is committed to working with our network, community members and government partners to develop person centered, sustainable solutions to food insecurity and poverty. We recognize that the important work that we and our partners do cannot alone solve hunger and that to make an impact on this issue will require government intervention.
We prioritize on the ground experiences and engagement with elected officials to ensure that individuals lived expertise are leading the conversation on how state and federal nutrition programs impact their lives and use data to keep our government partners informed so that they can make comprehensive, educated decisions that consider the full breadth of this issue.
